Getting Students to Prepare for Class
Nothing is worse than planning an in-class activity that goes poorly due to a lack of student preparation. Try these different strategies to better ensure students are learning class content before they come to class.
Contact Tom Janke or Terri Tarr for information on workshops sponsored by the Center for Teaching and Learning.
The CTL offers workshops on a wide range of topics to help faculty develop their teaching and technology skills. These workshops, which usually last from one to three hours, are open to all IUPUI faculty and staff. Seating is limited, however, so be sure to register in advance. For information about upcoming topics, or to register, see the CTL events calendar.
Customized To-Your-Door Workshops
If our scheduled workshops don’t meet your needs, we would be happy to arrange a custom workshop for your department, school, or group. Listed below are just a few of the topics available. These workshops can be tailored to the specific needs and interests of your group. For more information or to schedule a workshop, please contact the CTL at 317-274-1300 or fill out our request form.
